On Sunday, April 19, 2020 over 160 people from around the Chesapeake area came together for the first time on Zoom for their Annual Celebration. This was the 28th year of the Chesapeake Annual Celebration, and with the challenges from the coronavirus pandemic the event from switched from an in-person event to a virtual gathering to keep all safe.
The event was hosted on Zoom so that all the honorees, presenters and emcees could be seen, while all attendees were able to watch and chat during the event, offering up their congratulations to the Hineini recipients, as well as thanking them for helping each of their congregations be wonderful examples of evolving and thriving Reconstructionist communities.
The Chesapeake Day of Learning, normally a half-day event, was rescheduled and recreated into a series of weekly virtual learning sessions which are open to everyone. To learn more about these events, please visit our Reconstructionist Learning Series, Sponsored by the Chesapeake Area Congregations.
