From the ordinary to the extraordinary, Jewish rituals provide a framework for making meaning of our lives. But what about the everyday moments or big life transitions that Judaism doesn’t acknowledge? That time you passed a difficult test, first worked on your taxes by yourself, came through a difficult mental health challenge, said goodbye to a beloved pet? There are so many moments in our lives that invite us to pause and acknowledge the sacred. Rabbi Kami Knapp will take us through the basic principles of ritual building, and guide us toward creating our own rituals, in this three-part series.

We will explore:

  • A brief history of ritual throughout Jewish time
  • An easy-to-use structure for creating meaningful rituals
  • Guided navigation of the bounteous rituals found on ritualwell.org
  • Workshopping your own ritual
  • One-on-one time with Rabbi Kami to review and finetune your ritual
