Welcome to the first Reconstructionist Birthright journey! In December 2016, a group of 37 went on a complicated and incredible adventure. Exploring the country of Israel from a multitude of viewpoints, opinions, perspectives, and values, the group journeyed from the Sea of Galilee to Beer Sheva, from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, from Tayibe to Tzfat. High Holiday Message 5778 (2017)

At Rosh Hashanah, as we turn to new beginnings, we seek to repent—to do teshuvah—for what we have done wrong. And we can also affirmatively foster ourselves toward resilience—toward a thriving, loving outlook in spite of whatever challenges we encounter in life. JRF Israel Task Force Report

This 2004 report from the Jewish Reconstructionist Federationemerged from a movement-wide process that solicited thoughtful input from Reconstructionists across the country. A dedicated committee of rabbis and lay people developed the positions and proposals laid out in the report. While the Task Force’s proposals were never implemented, our revived Israel Task Force will be using the 2004 report as our foundation for moving forward. While much has changed since it was written., most of the earlier report’s framework and recommendations are still compelling and sound.

Printable Torah Blessings

This two-sided sheet is designed for congregational use during the Torah service. When printed on both sides, it contains the Reconstructionist Torah blessings on one side, and the traditional blessings on the other.
