  5. Bladensburg Amicus Brief

    Reconstructing Judaism and the Reconstructionist Rabbinical Association joined an amicus curiae brief filed by Americans United for the Separation of Church and State, urging the U.S. Supreme Court to affirm that religious symbols erected on public property and maintained with taxpayer dollars are unconstitutional.

  7. Letter Opposing Repeal of Johnson Amendment (April 2019)

    (Updated in April 2019 to reflect the final version of the letter.)

    Reconstructing Judaism and the Reconstructionist Rabbinical Association were among 131 organizations sending a letter to the House Ways and Means and Senate Finance committes, urging them not to repeal or weaken the “Johnson Amendment” that currently ensures that tax-exempt organizations do not support or oppose candidates for political office.   10. Letter on Religious Discrimination in Foster Care

    Reconstructing Judaism and the Reconstructionist Rabbinical Association joined more than 100 organizations in protest of the recent decision to exempt federally funded foster care agencies in South Carolina from federal religious nondiscrimination protections.
