    Reconstructionist leaders joined other faith leaders in a letter from Shoulder to Shoulder speaking out against anti-Muslim behavior. Shoulder to Shoulder is a coalition of 32 religious denominations and organizations committed to standing with American Muslims to uphold American values.

  7. Amicus Brief: Opposing Travel and Refugee Ban, 9th Circuit

    Reconstructionist institutions signed onto this interfaith Amicus Curiae brief to the 9th Circuit opposing the Executive Order travel ban of March 6, 2017. In this brief, over 50 faith-based organizations united to speak with one voice against the imposition of barriers to entering this country that are based solely on ethnicity, nationality, or religion, as well as the suspension and reduction of the United States Refugee Assistance Program.

  8. Endorsement of NILI Interfaith letter on peace in middle east

    Reconstructionist leaders were among the 35 Jewish, Christian, and Muslim national religious leaders sending a letter to President Trump agreeing that Israeli-Palestinian peace is possible. 

    In a statement released through the National Interfaith Leadership Initiative (NILI), the religious leaders state: “Based on the legitimate, long-standing aspirations of Israelis and Palestinians for national self-determination and security, a two-state solution still represents the most realistic way to meet essential interests of both peoples and to resolve the conflict.

  10. Joint Letter Urging Support for Haitians at Risk of Deportation

    RRC and the Jewish Reconstructionist Communities joined more than 400 faith leaders and organizations in this May 1, 2017 letter urging Secretary of Homeland Security John Kelly to extend Haitian refugees’ Temporary Protected Status.
