Jacob Weinberg works with the Department for Thriving Communities, a team that provides programs and services in partnership with affiliated congregations and havurot across the movement. His work includes faciltiating annual congregational affiliation, supporting online and in-person gatherings, developing avenues for electronic communication, and creating and sharing resources.

Deborah Waxman

The first woman rabbi to head a Jewish congregational union and seminary, Rabbi Deborah Waxman, Ph.D., became president and CEO of Reconstructing Judaism in 2014. Since then, she has drawn on her training as a rabbi and historian to be the Reconstructionist movement’s leading voice in the public square.

Melissa Heller

Rabbi Melissa Heller is the Director of Admissions and Recruitment at the Reconstructionist Rabbinical College. In this role, she has the great privilege of supporting prospective rabbinical students as they discern and enact their visions of service and leadership for the Jewish people and wider world.

Michael Fessler

A native of suburban Maryland and small-town Wisconsin, Rabbi Michael Fessler graduated from the Reconstructionist Rabbinical College in 2001. Before attending RRC, he studied biology at Brown University and worked at an early electronic publishing startup in Providence, RI. After graduation, he participated in the Melton Senior Educators program at Hebrew University, focusing on Jewish adult education.
