Reconstructing Jewish Communities Panel Learning Module
On the opening night of the Reconstructing Judaism Convention in November of 2018, an extraordinary panel of rabbis reflected on a crucial question: how do we reconstruct Jewish communities in this time and place, to meet tomorrow’s challenges? We’ve divided up the conversation into five sessions, and supplied material for reflection and discussion. We hope you’ll find this conversation as thought-provoking as we did.

Fred Dobb Eco-Judaism session - Global Day 2016
“Love of the Creator, and love of that which G!d has created, are finally one and the same,” wrote Martin Buber. Defending this divine creation in an era of climate change is a Jewish (and social, political, and moral) imperative. A rich Jewish life is by nature an environmental one, though we need to pick up the pace, draw more explicit connections, and make our community a beacon of sustainability.

High Holiday Message 5778 (2017)
At Rosh Hashanah, as we turn to new beginnings, we seek to repent—to do teshuvah—for what we have done wrong. And we can also affirmatively foster ourselves toward resilience—toward a thriving, loving outlook in spite of whatever challenges we encounter in life. In this video, I explore themes of resilience embedded into Jewish practice.

Reconstructionist Torah Blessings
