  1. Teen "TEL" Curriculum: Tikkun Olam

The TEL (Teens: Experience and Learning) post-b’nai mitzvah program focuses on the values of spiritual peoplehood that form the cornerstones of Reconstructionist Jewish education. Each curriculum focuses on a different value. Tikkun Olam is a Hebrew expression broadly meaning “reparing the world.”

  6. Politics from the Pulpit

This year our synagogue is raising up the value of Tikkun Olam – our responsibility to take action to repair the world. If we take seriously our responsibility to repair the brokenness of the world, we have to look at problems that are too big for us to resolve on our own. For example, no matter how much we recycle or conserve energy as individuals, global warming requires systemic responses including governing bodies and cultural change.

  10. Co-signed Hazon letter on withdrawal from Paris climate accord

To leaders within the American Jewish Community:

    Dear Friends,

We are Jews, organizational leaders and rabbis, teachers and students who work passionately towards a bright American Jewish future.

We are also human beings who care deeply about all life.

And from this integrated Jewish and universal perspective, we are shocked by our President’s decision to withdraw from the Paris Climate Accord.
