Zoom event
Coming off the High Holidays, we’ll talk about how to keep your congregation and community engaged and involved with your organization.  We’ll also talk about ways to boost fundraising efforts through social media and online events. As we continue to see more virtual events and engagement during the coronavirus pandemic, we’ll take a holistic view of strategic planning and marketing of online events – from scheduling, registration, advertising, tech setups, follow-up and customer relationship building.

Rachel Forth
Rachel Forth is the Assistant Director of Engagement Communications at Reconstructing Judaism. She oversees all the organization’s social media profiles, including content creation and online event streaming, and she handles the organization’s event marketing. Rachel was a co-author of “Turning an In-Person Fundraiser Into a Successful Online Event” on eJewish Philanthropy in response to changing in-person events to virtual ones due to COVID-19. Before joining Reconstructing Judaism, she worked in various roles in both the Conservative and Reform movements. She also volunteered to run events for Hazon Food Festivals and LimmudPhilly, and a local farmers market that dealt with combating a food desert in a Philadelphia neighborhood. Rachel lives in the West Mount Airy section of Philadelphia with her boyfriend, Nick, and two adorable pets.

Sam Wachs
Sam Wachs is the Assistant Director of Audio & Video content at Reconstructing Judaism, where he oversees video production and produces the Hashivenu and Evolve podcasts. Prior to joining Reconstructing Judaism in 2017, Sam was the post-production supervisor for the Amazon streaming series Just Add Magic and post-production coordinator for Disney Channel’s Austin & Ally and Bizaardvark. In his spare time, Sam performs comedy as part of The Pizza Collection, the world’s most prolific pizza band.
