Hebrew Language
From the beginning of Jewish history, the Hebrew language has helped to express and shape Jewish peoplehood. While most contemporary Jews outside of Israel are not fluent in Hebrew as a spoken language, Jewish spiritual vocabulary without Hebrew would be deeply impoverished and cut off from its roots.
